Eclipse Edgeless 400GSM Microfibre Cloth | Microfibre World

One cloth. Every stage of the job.

Most detailers end up with a drawer full of cloths, one for wax, one for compound, one for glass, one that's "too good to use." The Eclipse Edgeless was built to cut that down to one: a cloth that handles the heavy lifting and the final finish, without asking you to compromise on either. No risk of colour transfer during coating removal wipes with an ivory coloured cloth.

How It Works

Elite Edgeless is a dual-pile cloth, two working surfaces on one piece of microfibre, so you flip rather than swap:

  • Shorter pile side: built for cutting through polish, compound, and coating residue, plus general interior wipe-downs where you need real grip on the mess.
  • Plush pile side: soft, dense fibres for laying down waxes, sealants, and sprays clean, and for gentle final passes where marring risk matters most.

That's the whole idea behind it, you shouldn't need to think about which cloth to grab, just which side.

The 400GSM Sweet Spot

We didn't chase a high GSM number for the sake of a bigger figure on the label. 420GSM is where this cloth holds enough density to actually grip and lift product, while staying light enough in the hand to glide across paint without dragging or over-saturating. Heavier isn't automatically better, it's about whether the weight is doing something for you on the panel.

Edge Safety, By Design

Every Eclipse Edgeless is laser-cut, not overlocked. There's no stitched border to catch on trim, badges, or panel gaps, and no risk of a hard edge marring paint or coatings mid-wipe. It's a small detail that matters most on the surfaces you care about protecting.

Built On an 70/30 Blend

We use an 70% polyester / 30% polyamide blend, tuned to hold its shape and cleaning performance through repeated washes, so the cloth you buy today still performs the same 50 washes from now, not just out of the bag.

Where You'll Use It

  • Buffing waxes, sealants, and detail sprays
  • Removing polish, compound, and light coating residue
  • Interior wipe-downs
  • General everyday detailing across paint, trim, and glass

Instructions for use

  1. Firstly before doing anything you should check your microfibre cloth to see if it has been dropped or contaminated with any loose dirt or debris before using.
  2. Quarter your microfibre detailing cloth by folding in half and then fold in half again.
  3. This gives you eight separate clean surfaces to work with, just flip to a clean side as needed.
  4. After use, place the Microfibre Cloths in a bucket and wait until you have enough to full load in you washing machine (Click here more information on caring for you microfibre
  5. To keep you microfibre soft, dry on low heat in the dryer & when dry fold & store inside a sealed container away from dust.

Care Instructions

Microfibre cloths are machine washable.  Wash with a mild liquid detergent free of bleach and fabric softeners. Wash separate from linting material such as cotton, suggest washing on its own. We recommend NOT to use Chlorine Bleach as this prematurely “breaks down” the fibres and Reduces/Eliminates the valuable dust & dirt collecting properties of the microfibre. Avoid fabric softeners as it clogs the fibres. Tumble dry on low heat only.
